Weekly Inspiration Linky Party 2/6/15

Weekly Inspiration is Awesome!

And so is the 5th and final day of Valentine Lovelies!!!

Hearts N Twine

Both of the projects seen here were in our weekly inspiration posts recently. I love when something just jumps out at you and says "make me!". The knitted hearts are quick and simple knitting, it took me about 10 mins to knit one side, you can have one finished in a half hour easy. Directions are here.

The scrap fabric twine is a pleasant surprise! I thought this is going to be a painful project that was going to take  f-o-r-e-v-e-r! I decided to give it a try and if it proved too daunting, I could give up. It turned out to be a win-win! I love raiding the scrap buckets and using up my scraps, and it really goes fairly quickly, depending on the size of your project of course.  Helen from Till We Quilt Again, is going to make a throw rug so that will be a much bigger commitment, but the twisted twine I made for the hearts was whipped up in a short amount of time. I'm so glad I gave it a try!

I learned a valuable lesson, it might not be as bad as it appears! I love when that happens!!

The only decision now is where to use it, I can't seem to find a good spot for it! It just may end up being a gift for someone special!

Share your inspirations with us please!!

Paper Heart Tree

Paper Crafts are Always Fun!!

This paper heart punched tree was really simple to make! It's definitely kid friendly! The hardest part is punching out all the hearts! I have a fetish for paper crafts so I had all the supplies at hand, no need to shop and a way to use some of my stash up is always a + !

I used card stock which is easiest to punch with paper punches.

I punched out a bunch of hearts, and then a bunch more!!!

Start with a cone made out of paper, I placed it on an empty salt shaker I had hanging around. Starting at the bottom hot glue(I would use regular glue if making with kids) the hearts upside down on the cone spinning the cone as you go up. I thought geez, this is gonna take f-o-r-e-v-e-r but luckily the cone gets smaller in circumference as you go, so before you know it, U R DONE!!

And then you have a cute lil pop of color for your hutch!

I got my idea and directions here! Thank you Pinterest and Christina at igottacreate blog!!

Go make something full of love!

Love's in the Air Everywhere I Look Around. Love is in the Air, Every Sight & Every Sound!

Welcome to our week of Valentine Lovelies! We're sharing our Valentine inspired projects to get you  "in the mood"! We've made a few heart themed projects to brighten up your wintry gray days. Take a look at what we've been up to!

Book Page Art Heart

I find book page art very intriguing and I can't stop making things out of book pages! I don't know if it's the tearing, folding and good ol' fashioned defacing of a book or the vintage look the pages have that I love so much.

This is what I started with: Instructables directionsa book, ruler and pencil. Instructables are free if you access them on your computer.  I tried to print the directions and it wanted some $$, so I just referenced it from my laptop, thank you very much!!

Each page gets marked at different measurements for 40 pages.

Then I folded on every mark I made. And....

This happened!!

I L-O-V-E it!
