Living the life of a creative genius ;)

Last week was one I have dreamed of for years...I am one of the luckiest people around, really I am.  Read on if you'd like to know why. I retired 18 months ago at the age of 49 from a job that kept me out of the house at least 40 hours a week.  When it snowed I could be away for days at a time. As you can imagine that made for a lot of stress and inconvenience for my family and I. Now that's all behind me and I couldn't be happier! Back to this past week,  here is why it was such a good one...

On Monday I got together with friends and learned about Shiva Paint Sticks and making your own fabric:

Wednesday I attended a Pub Knit with my friend Helen:

And the Thursday Quilt Ladies got together and made fiber bowls on Thursday(of course):

Thursday night we celebrated my nephew's 21st birthday! Happy Birthday Sean! All I can say is...it's just what I wanted my life to be when I retired: good friends, family and all the creative inspiration you could ask for!  Shout out to my awesome husband for having the forethought and financial genius to make it happen...wow, we have two geniuses in one house!! Lucky us!!

  1. I think it has to do with a LITTLE more than Luck. You worked hard and saved so you could retire early, you married a great guy and have great kids that Love thier mom. And you surround yourself with "Warped Minded Crafty Friends". So... I really think you lined up all your ducks in a row so that you could have the week you did last week and MANY MORE! Best part is I got to share in the fun with you!

    1. Yes, true I did have a small part in it, but left to my own devices I am not the disciplined individual!! I have lined up the creative peeps and the kids are a product of me...thanx for noticing! I am so lucky to have the life I love and friends that can't be beat, even if they are warped minded, they're my favorite kind!! Looking forward to many more weeks like that!! Nini~
